When someone asks an AI platform about your company, the answer may influence whether they contact you, compare you with a competitor or move on. Your reputation work should improve that answer by addressing inaccuracies and making your business easier to understand.
Start with the questions a potential customer, employee or partner would actually ask. Then use what you learn to guide the work.
Establish what people are being told
Test questions about what you do, who you serve, your experience and common concerns. Include a few comparison questions that matter to your market. Save the full answers and their linked sources.
Look separately at accuracy, completeness and tone. A flattering answer that describes a service you no longer offer still needs correction. An accurate answer may be incomplete because your strongest work is barely documented online.
Fix your own information
Review the pages that explain your company. Your name, services, leadership, locations and contact details should be consistent. Describe your work in language customers use, with enough detail to distinguish you from businesses with similar names.
Replace unsupported adjectives with evidence. Explain the problem a project addressed, the work performed and the result you can substantiate. Where client confidentiality limits what you can publish, use an approved example that still tells the reader something useful.
Address damaging and outdated sources
Identify inaccurate articles, obsolete directories and profiles that continue to describe an earlier version of the business. Pursue corrections or removal where appropriate. Keep a record of requests and responses.
When negative material cannot be deleted, develop stronger, relevant content and improve its search visibility. The aim is to bring a fuller, current account of the company into view.
Earn attention for real work
Publish useful expertise and pursue relevant coverage. A clear explanation from someone who does the work is often more valuable than another generic company announcement.
Independent coverage and customer feedback should reflect real experience. Sponsored placements should be identified accurately. A reputation campaign becomes weaker when readers discover that its evidence is manufactured.
Measure the change that matters
Use the same core questions for follow-up checks. Track factual corrections, current information included, relevant sources cited and changes in the prominence of damaging material. Keep Google search results and AI answers as separate measures.
A practical first phase might combine source corrections, stronger core pages and a focused publishing plan. Set priorities around the problems affecting the business, then adjust the work as the evidence changes.
